European Standard series for ventilation in commercial kitchens
The parts 1 and 5 to 8 of the standard series have passed the formal vote with a positive result. Accordingly the publication of these parts is now foreseeable. A number of editorial comments have been submitted in the vote and these have to be incorporated into the English reference version. Afterwards the French and German language versions need to be adapted to the reference version. Usually this should take no longer than nine weeks. Once this process has been completed, the standard is published by CEN and can be used by the national standardization bodies (NSB’s). From the moment of publication by CEN, the NSB’s usually have six months to publish the standard on national level, to adopt it and to withdraw the corresponding national standards. So it is very likely that these parts will be published in 2017 in the respective national languages as well.
The parts 2 to 4 were already published by CEN in November 2016. These parts must now be published and adopted at national level by May 2017.
It should also be mentioned that part 9, which was published as a draft European Standard, has been withdrawn and is no longer part of the standard series.
